Good Afternoon
Driving down to Guardamar from the Tunnel and very grateful for the route advice shown in the Forum but looking for recommendations for an overnight stay near Abbeville - France which is secure and dog friendly plus any other information / recommendations will be much appreciated.

Hi Kathi,
I always look on TripAdvisor and Booking.com, and when I've chosen a hotel, I call them direct to double-check any special requirements, such as our dog being able to stay, and also rates, as I've sometimes been able to get accommodation cheaper by booking direct with the hotel:

We used to travel by ferry from the UK to Spain, so that we could do the journey to Guardamar usually in one day. The time we drove down through France, we arrived in Roscoff early morning, so we drove down to Biarritz on day one and stayed at a pet-friendly hotel there called "Hotel de Silhoutte", a lovely boutique hotel with private parking on site.

Thanks for your advice Kim, we've done a similar route before but without the dog. We have looked at the Ferry but we've only had the dog 6 months and this time thinking about the tunnel so she can be with us.

Hi, last year we stayed overnight at Hotel Del Vino 45km outside Zaragoza, We dont have a dog but there were other Brits with dogs, the hotel itself was very reasonable with dining facility, prices very reasonable.

Hi if you go on the internet and go to Booking.com you use the filters for the requirements you need it will give you a choice of accomodations near the area you require . I book en route when I decide I need to rest . But you can pre book just for peace of mind. I travel with my dog .
