Due to come out next week I’ve had this booked for some time. I read that Guardamar beach is closed. Because the sea is contaminated, because of the recent by  horrendous weather.

Also there is now a  plague of tiger mosquitoes 🦟 & biting black flies? Again this is due to the & flood water still not drained away. Making it the perfect breeding ground, they are attacking everyone?

Can anyone advise please if it’s true or is it the same as every year with the  mosquitoes ?

Not been to beach this week but it was open last Friday after the bulldozers had been in! I certainly would not have been swimming though.

Beach is open and the sea is fine. A few more mossies than usual.but they are spraying. Try using citronella spray if you tend to get bitten.

For one who loves the sea and finds it hard to resist a dip, I would certainly not go in for a while longer, as there are so many dead fish being washed up.  This could be due to the contamination, but I am not sure.   Sitting in a chair and listening to the sea is still relaxing.  I didnt have any moskies where I was but a few annoying wasps, which it is to be expected in October.  Enjoy.

The dead fish are either freshwater ones washed out into the sea or sea fish that have died from the lower salinity close to the rivers due to the floodwater
