You will have to come back after 90 days, and not allowed to return until another 90 days has elapsed, so a 4 month stay will not be possible

Unless of course you obtain residency or an NLV, or are currently in an EU country where the 90 days rule doesn't apply?

Thank you for info. We’re aware of 90 day in 180 day period etc. We have responsibilities in UK both old and young, therefore thoughts were to rent somewhere that we could go back and forward to (not staying permanently in) whilst we located and found apartment to eventually buy. We hoped our family could use this apartments for holidays.

Look on property rental and holiday let rental websites where you can contact owners directly before booking so you can ask about discount for a longer let. You mentioned going backwards and forwards over 4 months so you may be able to get a deal of some kind.

Just to clarify something - it is the apartment you will buy that family will use for holidays, not the property you are renting?

Once you have your own property, your friends and family can only use it for free. If you want to charge for use, even 'mates rates', you will need a Tourist rental license.

Europa house sun beach do long term apartment lets. Best to email direct for prices. I had a one bed apartment (cheapest) for 3 months several years ago Jan.Feb.March very reasonable price. I am also booked with a friend this September to Octobe, 1 month stay,  price for a two bed apartment at europa house is 1000euros total for both of us, includes air con/heating, water, electricity. no hidden charges. Tourist office in Guardamar also recommend this hotel.

Reception are very friendly and helpful at Europa house, the best price are per month from September to June.  email them for prices at [email protected]
