Hello

I visited Guardamar del Segura and discovered some seafront terraced beach house huts right on the edge of the sand.  There was one for sale and I thought I took a photo of the sales board only to get home to find I didn’t!

These house/wooden holiday homes are right on the sand in front of the beach. I think there may have been about 15 or so.

My question is does anyone know the name of the road they back on to?

I’m really interested in buying one but cannot find the agent they are with?

Can anyone help please?

Thanks so much

Bernie

Look at Google Maps and zoom into the location:

I'd guess you probably mean Avenida Europa, but there are a lot of beach front properties.

Before considering nuying anything close to the beach, you should familiarize with the restrictions imposed by the "Ley de Costas". Anything within 20 mts. of water's edge is a nogo.

Hi Jim

That’s helpful I will look along there.

I did try on google earth but because the beach huts are not on a road that a car can drive down to record so there is no picture to view.

Thanks again for responding

Hello

Thank you for responding. The beach huts are already there,  where ever there is. So surely that shouldn’t  lead to problems  if I’m just changing leases or do you mean if I buy one I wouldn’t get insurance to protect it from the sea.

Thanks again

Do a bit of research on the Gota Fría as the weather phenomenon is called. They usually come between October and April (Easter is often a wash-out, especially last year) and they started earlier than normal in mid September when there was destruction across the whole area.
I have no idea where these beach huts are but large swathes of the coast take a battering with sea defences and walkways washed away along with the beaches themselves. Would you get any insurance at all?

Are you been serious or guessing?  That’s so sad  to hear.

Thanks for letting me know.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

On goodness, thank you Pete.  That is extremely helpful and it looks like I may have had a lucky escape!

Well that’s the end of that dream, next!

Thanks all

If you are talking about the fishermans cottages along the sea front in Guardamar see attached photo, I am serious. Its so very sad to see.

There are still villas standing at the other end of Guardamar.
