Hi Guadamar is a nice place and you are coming at the right time of year!  It is very quiet then it is also worth looking inland a little where more people are resident like the Rojales, Quesada area as there is more going on in winter.

Good luck with your search.

Hi we are probably going to stay in Rojales where we stayed in March this year and look around the area .We fell in love with Guardamar and visited often .We are going to be buying ,I’m hearing that it would be better socially to live in Rojales,Quesada,Beniofar etc is that your experience .I love meeting new people and we e a friendly couple so I’m sure we can mix well .

Are you saying we would be better amongst expats and are there any within Guardamar ? Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me ,I’m so looking forward to coming back again .Regards F

Hi Fairy108, Glad the ballroom dancing information was helpful to you.   It would be lovely to have you join us whenever you are ready.   People come and go out here so don't worry if you are not able to come every week that is normal out here.   Looking forward to meeting you eventually [hopefully].

Hi Fairy108, To answer some of your questions you asked I have copied you answer below and will reply in the answer:

Everyone seems so lovely and friendly - I HAVE FOUND MOST PEOPLE TO BE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, THERE ARE ALWAYS ONE OR TWO WHO ARE BEST LEFT ALONE - THAT GOES FOR ANY COUNTRY I THINK NOT JUST SPAIN . Do you know if there are any paper craft classes anywhere in the local areas or indeed craft shops - THERE ARE LOADS OF CRAFT CLASSES AND CRAFT SHOPS TO PURCHASE CRAFT ARTICLES, SOME OF OUR DANCERS DO CRAFT AND WOULD POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, ALSO THE LOCAL FREE PAPERS ADVERTISE CRAFT CLASSES AND THE CRAFT CLASSES WOULD TELL YOU WHERE TO PURCHASE THE ITEMS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR . When we come over where do we find details of what’s available socially etc - LOCAL FREE PAPERS BUT YOU CAN READ THEM ON LINE NOW IF YOU WANT, TRY ROUNDTOWNNEWS, COASTRIDER, LEADER, COSTABLANCAPEOPLE, THE POST, THERE ARE OTHERS BUT CANNOT THINK OF ANY AT PRESENT . Is Almoravid ALMORADI I THINK YOU MEAN where the market is and there is a big square where they hold events THE DO HAVE A BIG SQUARE BUT SO DO MOST VILLAGES OVER HERE AND THEY ALL HOLD EVENTS IN THE BIG SQUARES - THERE IS PLENTY TO DO AND JOIN IN OVER HERE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GO AT JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING , if it isxwe watched a Zumba class and went to an artichoke festival we really enjoyed it up there - NOT HEARD OF AN ARTICHOKE FESTIVAL BUT OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE BEEN TO ONE, ZUMBA CLASSES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE LOTS OF THEM ARE HELD IN LOCAL BARS/RESTAURANTS.

HAVE A READ OF THE LOCAL FREE PAPERS

HERE IS A LINK FOR THE COSTABLANCAPEOPLE FREE PAPER, HAVE A READ ON LINE AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.   YOU CAN ALSO GOOGLE THE OTHER PAPERS AND READ THEM FREE ON LINE.   GOOD LUCK, ANY OTHER ADVICE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL HELP IF I CAN, HAVE BEEN HERE OVER 20 YEARS AND REALLY ENJOYED EVERY MINUTES OF IT.
