Hi we live in uk we are late 40s and considering moving and renting to costa Blanca. I’m a chiropodist. We are also very active cycling golf etc would this be a good area for us ? Many thanks 😎

Do you mean that you would be intending to work as a chiropodist? As you are under retirement age, I am assuming that this would be the case? There is a need fo professionals such as yourself, although there are, of course, already several here, to say nothing of the Spanish Podologos. In order to do this, you would at the least, need to register as self-employed - autonomo -with all the obligations to the Spanish tax system and social security requirements. And you would need the services of an accountant. You will also require comprehensive private health insurance, at least for the first year, although the situation may be slightly different once your official autonomo status is up and running.

Griff, brilliant area.  I cycle to Guadamar frequently.  Its a great spot for flat cycling to numerous interssting places.  Also golf courses all over round here.

I think you would love it for cycling especially... Thats for any period Dec - Jan for cycling... I am out every morning at present.. Love it.

Ahh thanks for response just trying to narrow down a place to live that would offer a good work life balance as we are still very active and seeking a good social life too
