Lost: 2 bags stolen near Gaurdamar beach
Hi everyone
Sadly I got caught out by distraction thieves on Sunday 6th Jan at around 15:00 in the car park outside the Jaime Playa restaurant in Calle Ing. Codorníu, 1, 03140 Guardamar del Segura. We had been on the beach and found our hire car tyre flat when we came back to the car. My wife was distracted by someone speaking to her in Spanish from a nearby car whilst I started changing the wheel. The thieves opened the passenger side doors and took my wife's small blue/white 'Ventura' shoulder bag (a momento from a cruise on the P&O ship Ventura) and my blue Samsonite shoulder bag (bright yellow interior). Nothing of any significant monetary value - about 50 Euros in cash and a couple of cards (now cancelled) but it did contain our old Samsung Digital camera (white) with pictures of the last month in Spain, an old LG Optimus PAYG Android phone, both pairs of my prescription glasses in cases and a few other personal items and the hire car paperwork.
We have been back to look around the woods just behind the car parking area where the theives probably ran but didn't find anything discarded.
A lng shot I know but if anyone finds the camera or the the bags in or around that area please get in touch via PM. We are around in Spain for another month.
