Spanish grammar lessons wanted

Have you tried Duolingo yet? It is great for learning vocabulary and grammar. As you work through the learning scheme, the level of teaching increases to match your abilities. You work at your own speed which allows you to assimilate the information. I started over six years ago with the programme and found that it "grows" with you as learn more. I think that you can do a little exam to discover what level you will start at.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Yes I have used Duolingo but found it a bit random in its approach...it tends to aim to get you conversing which I can do. Also a lot of American-Spanish words . I really want old fashioned conjugation of verbs, sentence construction eg. Me gusta......

and loads of drilling in past tenses. My problem is I've covered all these in various classes but do not remember them. Got loads of text books but I need to have deadlines, tests etc. Basically I need a teacher like the ones who bullied us at school. 😂

Hi Kay, Whilst taking a beginners Spanish course in the UK I was recommended to look at Light Speed Spanish podcast (a lovely  married couple, he is English and his wife is Spanish), they are really good and you can get a written version of their podcast too. I found it very helpful. Give it a go and see how you get on.

I would also recommend Lightspeed Spanish.  I have been learning with Gordon and Cynthia for a long time and they have many lessons on grammar for begginers to advanced.  They have lots of videos on YouTube as well as a podcast and notes.  It's only £9.99  a month to be a member but you do get a lot for your money.

Duolingo is fantastisk. I realt recommed it. Fre for charges, not so heavy.

I did not get on with Duolingo. It does not focus on grammar in the way I want and uses a lot of American-Spanish words. Thanks for the suggestion though.
