We are coming to Guardamar on Christmas Eve for a week and wanted to book a christmas dinner before we arrived for christmas day. Can anyone recommend a bar / restaurant that is serving UK traditional xmas dinner on christmas day please

Not sure you’ll find anything in Guardamar, it’s too Spanish. If you venture in to El Raso or Benijofar, Quesada areas you’ll find plenty of places, some might already be fully booked.
If   you want to travel further afield, down the coast Torrevieja &  Orihuela Costa way again you find lots of places advertising. Check out the What’s On pages on Facebook you will find dozens of places.
The price of eating out on Christmas Day has risen sharply over the past few years. You are looking at 50-60€ per person minimum charge. I’ve even seen some places charging 99€ per head.

Whenever we go over that way we like The Med Bar in El Raso. They do traditional roasts every Sunday so it may be worth ringing them to ask if they will be doing Christmas Day. I can't comment on the roasts as never had one there as I always prefer my own but the rest of their food is lovely.

Hello, we live between the UK and El Raso. Not all restaurants in El Raso are open on Christmas Day. Those that are are fully booked as we checked last week. Prices can be very expensive. We’ve decided to celebrate on Christmas Eve and then have Christmas Day on El Moncayo Beach and a nice Christmas lunch at one of the restaurants. You need to get something booked! Same applies to renting a car! Get one booked! Hope this helps.

Christmas Day in Spain has to be about visiting the beach and hopefully the beach celebrations will be allowed this year. There are no reasons why they shouldn’t be, but I’ve yet to see any official announcement. It’s quite spectacular seeing 4000 people of varying nationalities eating and drinking on the beach in their Christmas attire.

Whilst you are checking out Christmas Day availability, if you have no plans on self catering during your visit, check out availability for 26th December most of the British run  bars where I live are normally closed that day.

Hello Trishetta, I've got my ass in gear after your reply and booked a restaurant and a car. The car advice was especially good, managed to get a Mercedes as little else left and paid a hefty sum, but at least we are sorted on that front. Thanks again

You’re welcome. I know how difficult it can be and people are so helpful and knowledgeable on this forum. Hope you have a wonderful time when you get there x

I think I remember people recommending the PORTICO MAR restaurant on the road from Guardamar to Torrevieja ( close to Guardamar). Check it out. It is a very smart restaurant so should suit your requirements. Enjoy.
