Anyone have experience with termites

Hi, I have noticed some termite damage in the exterior doorframe of my kitchen (they were working inside the frame) and in one of the units. I bought some anti termite stuff from Leroy Merlin and have slathered it on several times to both the door and the kitchen units. Fortunately the kitchen is one of those masonry ones so only the doors and drawers are wood.
Does anyone know if I need to take additional steps to destroy the nest or can help with this?
