Algae in pool

Hello some advice please we are now back home in Spain but have discovered that our pool pump had been turned off by a neighbour as he thought there was a problem, there wasn’t it was on a timer and is fine, anyway we have come back to swamp water very dark and lots of nasty algae, I have looked in Jim’s guides which of course are as always excellent but please can someone quickly point us in the direction of products and where to buy them thank you we are in Fortuna Murcia many thanks again

Buy a 10 kilo bag of POOL salt, cost about 4 euros and dump the lot into the pool. This clears all of the black algae - proven in the whole of the Costas who took my advice!!

Apart from that follow the advice given.

Yes, the pool salt eliminates the black algae which sticks to the pool sides for very little money. My solution was aired in the Costa Blanca News and since then there have been no queries as to how to eliminate it. It works!
