Property buying book

As expected there are many many property buying topics here, which is great. But sometimes when I read them Im astounded that some people seem to be very deep into the process before they then seek some pretty basic and essential information (e.g the buying process, property taxes etc.
Seems to me that if yre gonna be spending 1000’s a bit of upfront research might be wise. I owned property in Cyprus for 12 years until recently, and before I bought, I researched it for about 2 years and read every possible ‘buying a property in....’ book I could find. At that time internet information and forums werent what they are now. Nevertheless, reading a good book on it has to be useful.
In this regard I can really recommend Anthony Foster’s book; ‘Buying a property in Spain’. Its on its 12th edition now; best £12 youll ever spend. Take the rose coloured glasses off and put reading ones on instead, and read this book before you start on your property buying journey; it will open your eyes to just exactly whats involved, and give a well needed reality check.
The author has livec and worked in the property market in Spain for over 35 years. He will also answer questions if you have queries (assuming thats after youve bought the book, lol), as I did. I bought the book and still refer to it now, even having read it several times; a priceless resource.
Well worth buying.
