My name is Brian and my Partner Julia, we are a retired couple, looking to relocate in the area

Top buget of  225,000 euros

It must be on level site as Julia has walking difficulties.

Any good rentals (resonably priced)  best places to look for property, best places to meet some of you, any advice at all so we can come and join you lucky people that live there already

Thanks very much all and hope to get to know some of you.

Best regards Brian/Julia.

Hi

We retired a month ago to the Urb La Montanosa - it’s lovely.

Try Christina estate agent on [email protected]

She is most helpful which not all the others are.

If you need a solicitor let me know as ours was pretty good. We used Angela in Frailes.

Hello

Why not ask why so many people are wanting to leave Hondon los Frailes?  I live in Crevillent and every week I meet people from the Hondons who come to shop here.  If you can afford a little more money then you can have a single storey house with 4 beds and a pool and all modern amenities on a flat plot with the best health amenities in the region.  What more do you want?

Richard in Crevillent

Hello

For every small thing that you have to buy it´s necessary to travel down those terrible roads down to Albatera or Crevillent.   Also, when the last Town Plan was revealed it meant the demolition or land grab of many houses.   The protesters were told by the mayor ´´Most of the houses are illegal anyway...¨¨

The nearest medical facility of any size is in near Crevillent, try racing down the hills in the middle of the night with an emergency....

The reason there are so many vineyards around Hondon is because the town is on the weather side of the mountains so it gets a lot more rain and is often shrouded in fog.

Try renting there foe a few weeks, you´ll soon know the pitfalls!

Regards

Richard

I live in Hondon de los Frailes, much prettier than Crevillente, maybe easier access to some things but close to Aspe so not neccesary to go thru Albatera but if you need a hospital often move to Elche.

Disagree with you 100% if you have never lived in the Hondon then I understand. The best thing we ever did was move to the Hondon, as you get to live the Spainish way and not down the mountain which is the holiday way. Traveling down the mountain is a lovely drive and there is a beautiful  hospital in Elche 15 mnis away. Suggest you come try the area first.

Thank you Richard I don’t think I would feel secure if the houses are not safe as in land grab . And I hate mountain roads at best of times .
