Swedish neighbours had/have enormous problems with cockroaches …
They are all year trough everywhere. As they don’t speak any English they asked my help for a company to help them out…

Found a Dutch man Wim/Willem who gassed the whole house on the 25 November 2021, for 180€ and 9 months guarantee…
He told me it worked perfectly and he could do mosquitoes, flys, snakes and whatever…

He came with his son and left me a “guarantee” paper which said: 6 months !!!

Did not pay any attention on it as the paper was inside the house and we could not enter the house for a couple of hours…

Well, it does NOT work in their house, they are still just EVERYWHERE and still alive……
I do find dead ones but it’s obvious that the product is not working a 100%

I took contact again the 29dec 2021, 2 Jan 2022, 5 Jan 2022, 17 Mei , 16 June, 9 July, 12 July, 7 November 2022
to ask to come again under guarantee as he had promised…

I heard about ALL the excuses you can think of…
Sick relation in Holland, bad leg, son will come and then can’t, next week for sure, and so on and so on…!!!

Good advice: do not phone number 0034/604 27 33 87 if you want “help”…

You don’t have to be on Facebook, you posted on here. I assume your intention was to warn others on the Costa Blanca forum not to potentially waste their time and money. So there is no reason as far as I can see that you can not warn others by naming the company that you refer to.

one tip I will give you for cockroaches, always take your shoes off before going into your house. If you kill a cockroach and it is a female you will carry the eggs on the bottom of your shoe, when opening windows, make sure you have mosquito nets and if possible swing  mosquito door. I had the same problem and now no insects or cockroaches

Sorry to disagree with you, but the chances of stepping on a cockroaches are minimal. Much better to find where they come in and stop the problem. Our doors and windows are almost open all the time we are home, and have maybe had 10 cockroaches in as many years.  Another thing is, don't use traps inside your home as it attracts them.

With cockroaches, you have to find how they get in. Any room you find them in, look for an entrance, no matter how small.

They love heating vents, side and ceiling and use them as "rat runs". I put tape over mine.

They will also come out of sinks, so leave plugs in. Where not possible as in a bidet, I just put a pile of washing powder over the drain.

If you see one, have no hesitation in treading on it or crushing it with your hand. They do not bite or sting and feet and hands can be washed afterwards. A flick with a towel gets them in position.

BTW, they pretty much ignore insect sprays.

Use talcum powder, put keep away from children and pets.
l sprinkle strong-scented talcum powder on counter tops, around drains, water taps, on the kitchen and bathroom floors at night. The smell keeps roaches away.

Baking powder also works.  Further information: Nontoxic Control for Cockroaches (thebestcontrol.com)

This is appalling.  A plague of cockroaches in your neighbour’s home.  Do you have them too?   Is there an underbuild in the house?  Do you think they are coming from the sewers? Are there trees and hedges close by?  Stagnant water? A river?  You are going to have to find out where they are coming from and stop them.  Food lying about is another thing to deal with. Keep all breads, pastas etc., in airtight containers.

I wouldn’t spend time in that house as I hate      cockroaches.  I’d have to sort the problem our. Could they use a sealant and seal every crevice up.

I think dampness attracts them.  Check to see if any water is leaking from downstairs showers or wash hand basins. If water is lying beneath the house, this could attract cockroaches.

When using the sealant, it’s normal to put fairy liquid onto a finger and run it along the seal.  I’d put chilli powder into the fairy liquid and mix it well and then use it to flatten the sealant. This might stop them coming in.

Please wish your friends good luck. I sincerely hope they can rid themselves of these unwanted guests and begin to enjoy their lives in Spain.

I was in Mercadona earlier and they have roach traps at €2.95 each, which are supposed to be good for 3 months.
