Hi, someone can give me an advice about the documents that are requested in order to obtain the "residencia" for my spouse?

We are EU citizens and my spouse do not have own income. Is it necessary a marriage certificate translated to Spanish?

Here is a link for EU residents who want to register family members, it will tell you all you need:

Thank you very much Steve, what I found at the link you sent me is:

  • Current and, where necessary, legalised documentary evidence of their family relationship with the EU citizen.
  • Documentary evidence of financial dependence.
I understand that a marriage certificate would be ok for the first point (although it's not specified if it must be translated), but can someone give me an advice of what we can show as "Documentary evidence of financial dependence"?

I think they are asking for proof of income that is required for the extra member of the family that is hoping to stay in Spain permanently. The extra financial proof would be 1 x IPREM which is €7,200 per annum.

I would think that joint bank account statements would indicate financial dependence.

Just having a joint account won't prove anything unless there is firm evidence to see a solid monthly income equivalent to the financial requirements for the family as a whole.
