You can order them at Pienso Trini in Frailes. Most Piensos (pet stores) have them, no real markets selling them

Hi I have bought chickens from the piensos in Hondon near Cerda Bodega. Great layers and fab condition.they sell all the food and do a nice mix (mezcla) which my girls love. You can also buy chickens from AgriZoo  Pinoso and AgriZoo Monovar though they tend to have been de-beaked and I hate that.

If you want something more fancy like barred rocks, bluebells, Marans, Sussex etc I can send you a  Spanish website on line who deliver. They come with vaccination papers and are beaut.

Cheers. Jan.

Hi this is the Spanish website to order chickens. I was delighted with my chickens. They arrived in lovely condition with vaccination papers. I had to wait a little while for delivery as I ordered them in January and at the time it was very cold. They would not send the birds for a few days until the temperature was warm enough for the journey. I was impressed with their care and concern.

If you need any more information please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Cheers Jan.

You are welcome. Let me just say though that the best chickens in the area are from the Piensos pet supplies place in Hondón Nieves. Very clean, good layers and they haven’t been fully de-beaked like they are in most of the other shops. That’s if you just want ordinary layers and don’t want to send for any.  Cheers Jan.

Keeping chickens sounds like a delightful idea. I'm fairly new here myself and haven't had the chance to explore livestock markets yet, but I've been doing some research on raising chickens, and I came across a helpful website at https://expertchicken.com. It's been a lifesaver for me, offering a plethora of information on everything from choosing the right breed to setting up a cozy coop. I particularly found their tips on feeding and healthcare quite valuable. The best part is, they break down everything into simple, easy-to-understand language, perfect for beginners like us.
