Burglaries are rife in many areas with unattended holiday homes particularly exposed.

I'm not aware that Hondon is at greater or lesser risk than anywhere else though.

When insuring its essential that you are completely honest about your projected occupancy, in the event of an incident if it turned out that you had been 'economical with the truth' then they could - and would - walk away.

I totally agree Hondon is no worse for burglaries than anywhere else, unattended holiday homes will alway be a target for thieves but this would apply to UK homes, Hondon is a smaller area than most with a fantastic community spirit but because of that it can sometimes look as though it’s experiencing more burglaries than other areas, it’s often just that due to the community keeping others informed it can appear that way.

It’s a fantastic area to live so please don’t be put off.
