Where can I buy Proper butter
Have tried all the “butters” locally but cannot find an English style butter that doesn’t smell like margarine any suggestions?

Mas y Mas sell Kerrygold which is Irish but closer to English butter than anything else I've found.
Anchor is my favourite but never seen it here.

Hi Dennis you can make it yourself.1 liter while fat milk in a food processor or blender or electric whisk and start beating it eventually it will turn to butter you can add salt to taste.I think the English mini market in the village has fresh milk.I make it once a week .Also you can put the milk in a large screw top jar and shake it but it takes a long time.

Do you mean butter in blocks or the easyspread type?
‘Block’ butters here are exactly the same as U.K. or French butters. The easyspread ones are slightly different.
Both Spanish and French butters are usually considerably cheaper than U.K. versions and are available both salted and non salted.
Asturiana is ne and f the biggest dairy co operatives and is the most commonly seen, the French mega day ndustrial complex President is easily availableand Carrefour imports little known French brands at remarkably low prices.
