I have just moved to Xabia and need to open a Spanish Bank account. I already have a NIE number. Please can anyone recommend a bank that has reasonable charges (preferably none!) and I can apply online and be accepted very quickly.

N26. Quick and easy as long as you are ok about being completely online and not having a branch

Be aware there is currently a waiting list to join N26 for a spanish IBAN account. No idea how long the wait is (sign up page showing there is a waiting list for several weeks now) so prob not the quickest option at the moment.BBVA offer a fee free online account.

I believe you can still use the branches if you want with the online account. from their website-
"With the BBVA Free-Free Online Account, you can enjoy all the benefits offered by the bank: the services and features provided in our application, our website and, of course, all the services offered by our branches, ATMs and BBVA advisers."
There are a few BBVA branches in Javea
