extended stay on way back to Santander ferry

Hiya,

we will be returning to UK from javea/Oliva in june after a 10 week stay , we usually have a night in Tudela and then straight to Santander for a few nights before returning to the UK.

this year we were thinking about a few nights extra and taking it steady on the return drive north, we were thinking of stopping for 3 nights somewhere else between Oliva and Santander, any one stopped in Logrono or Teruel, are they nice, worth stopping for 2-3 nights?

or anyone got other suggestions, somewhere with a few shops, few bars/restaurants and enough to see for a few days, we like walking round old towns etc.

Teruel is a nice town, I've been there a few times but never stayed overnight.

Burgos, a bit nearer Santander, is a good location too. Nice walk along the river and reasonably priced accommodation in the centre. Short drive to the ferry.

Teruel is historic and nice to walk round. There is a medieval village about 49 mobs drive away. Steep.

Logrono for one night. Great tapas where each bar has a speciality and you move round. Locals more than tourists.

Albarracin is beautiful and easily walked in an hour. Lots more to do nearby too. Towns, caves

Don't forget santander itself. Old Town, prom and Park are bustling

Logrono is great for tapas and a buzzing town. Also plenty of Rioja Bodegas around to visit. We actually stay in Laguardia which is worth a visit even if not staying
