Hi there, myself and my partner are moving to the costa blanca in October. We are thinking of Javea. We were hoping to start our own cafe business. Just wondering if the ex pats in Javea would welcome a new cafe or if anybody has an idea of an area that would be delighted with a new cafe/deli that would cater for ex pats. Any feedback would be so welcome.

I would say go for it but do some research first, are there too many cafes in this town, what percentage of the population are expats, location, etc, I am in Denia and a german cafe opened and then closed because the sp....h would not use it, the same with the newly refurbished Eurospar supermarket here ,it used to be a Spanish masymas and was popular, after a 1.3 million refit and a rebrand to dutch owned Eurospar it has more staff than customers, again research the area, Javea has a wide spectrum of nationalities with plenty of money and it  is safe and clean and a nice place, my mum and myself like a nice cup of tea and thats a good profit maker at 1.20 to 1.50 a mug or cup considering a pg tips tea bag wholesale would cost abut 3 pence, the Spanish like their coffees and the machines that make the coffee are expensive and extremely noisy which bothers me,I am very fussy, I have been here for 10 years and not one cafe or hotel here in Denia knows how to serve a cup of tea, they do in Benidorm,so good luck and if you decide to open a cafe we will pop in for a tea or two.
