Good afternoon everyone

We are a family of 4 and are very excited to be travelling to Javea on Sunday for our first family holiday in Spain.

We will be arriving at Alicante around 3.30pm and want to drive and stock up on essentials before getting to the villa- around 5.30 pm I have seen that the Lidl and Carrefour at Moraira seem to be open until 10 pm on Sunday but is this actually the case?

Or any recommendations of what will be open around Benitachell at that time on a Sunday as we will have 2 tired and hungry boys.

Thanks, actually Benitachell is not in Javea, it's close to Moraira. But worry not as you have some options!

The main supermarkets mostly close at 2.30 on Sundays. Lidl and Aldi both open til 9.00pm. There is a Lidl in Benissa, it's right on the N332 and visible from the road. If you do your shopping there then carry onwards northbound side, you'll come to the exit for Teulada where you will turn for Moraira/Benitachell.

No problem Emma. When you come into Benissa, stay on the main road, and as you think you're heading out of the town you'll see Lidl on your left. It's on the "wrong side" of a short dual section so go to the roundabout up ahead and loop back for it.

After your shopping you'll have to head in the wrong direction for about 200 yards, loop round that roundabout and you'll be back on the N332 northbound. Dont worry - its actually a lot easier than that sounds!
