We have just bought an apartment in Jesus Pobre. Is there any bus services running through the town going to Javea/Denia or Gata ?

Hi we just arrived in Jesus Pobre and would like to know if there is transport to Denia or Javea? Jesus Pobre is lovely and sleepy but we would like to try something a little more lively even though it’s the end of season

Any tips on restaurants, taxis etc will be much appreciated 😊

Have owned a house in Jesus Pobre for 14years and can assure you that is not a sleepy village and never has been Wait till you experience the celebrations this weekend as they celebrate the grape harvest Free beer Saturday lunch Music in the main square till at least 2 in the morning and disco at the school all night No need to go anywhere else for anything more lively 😀

Hi

Rositas is the most popular bar in Jesus Pobre It can get very noisey with the locals but the food is good Typical Spanish bar not changed in years 😉

And finally can you advise the cost of a taxi to Denia or Javea? I have no idea so a guideline would be great. Many thanks for your tips 😊

Hi

As of 2 weeks ago a taxi from Le Gaucho on Jesus Pobre road to the Parador in Javea was 13 euro booked through El Gaucho I believe from Arunal to Jesus  Pobre is round about 25 euro

Hi yes

Local bus to Denia picks up outside Banco Sabadell around 9.50am and will take you to the bus station in Denia for 1.30 euro single The return is around 3.20 pm I think This bus route starts from Javia to Denia but I am not sure of the exact times but you can find out from the bus station in Denia
