This might be old news but if it's not and helps someone all good.

We went to Torrevieja general hospital today for our booster - just queue and present a SIP number. We have no SIP card but the number was accepted just fine.

No appointment necessary.

We got there at 08:20 and doors opened just before 09:00 we were done by 09:15 and back in the car.

Queue was building up when we left but they get through people pretty quickly.

We had been waiting for a SMS giving us an appointment but we are all done now.

Aged 56 and 52 but there were younger people in the queue.

It would seem the hospital is giving boosters and Flu jabs without appointments. My friend confirmed this when they went for their appointment, someone ahead of them in the Q had no appointment but got the booster without any problem.

the whole queue for where we were was for people without appointments. They offered us a flu jab as well but we had those last September.

Hi, I don't have a sip card either but have my number which I used for both jabs, I have been told I need to update my sip card, can you confirm you had to do the same before you had your booster today many thanks

No we didn't need to update our SIP numbers - just take them with us. We took the vaccination cards and TIE but they only wanted the SIP number and looked at my wife's vaccination card. Our SIP numbers were originally registered around March 2021 and haven't been renewed. We've never had physical cards.

the red arrow shows the building where you need to go for the non appointment jabs. They only do them Tue - Friday 09:00 to 14:30 as far as we are aware.

Hi Melissa,

Like Lancelot and yourself, we only have SIP numbers, we've never been issued with cards.  We were able to obtain our boosters in Rojales health centre without the need to renew our numbers, nor obtain temporary cards.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi

I received a text message giving me an appointment for the booster at the hospital yesterday. When I got there it bacame  obvious that anybody with a SIP could get it, so my missus got her booster as well. I assume the boosters will be recognised on the COVID passport soon.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

When we had our boosters in December, we were told our Covid certificates would be updated within 24 to 48 hours.  Sure enough, they were and we were able to download the updated certificate showing 3 of 3 jabs.  As the EU has mandated that certificates are only valid for 9 months from the date of your last jab, it makes sense for people to download an updated certificate as soon as they can after having their booster.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks Kimmy

The certificate has already been updated, before I even got round to reading your post! The system is working!

Cheers
