So we had our appointment a couple of weeks ago to present our EX23 documents at Alicante - was expecting to have to wait 3 weeks before we could consider picking up our cards.

I joined a Brexpat group on Facebook and the Valencia posters are advising their lote numbers when they collect their cards. After you have attended your EX23 appointment you are given a letter which you need to take when you collect your cards and it has a lote number on it.

I've read that some people have collected their cards with a lote number after ours so we are off to see if ours are ready tomorrow - not least as the weather is supposed to be a bit iffy.

Fingers crossed :)

Hi Lancelot

I shall keep my fingers 🤞Bubbly at the ready? 🥂

Weather’s a bit iffy? You should be here, we’ve had the heating on in the evening for the last week 🥶🥶

Good luck, let us know 🤪🥂

Hi Lancelot,

Hope you're successful today🤞  What's your lote number please?  I just want to check it against ours.

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Kim

P.S.  If you get them, please can you let us know what wording you have on them? I read on Brexpats in Spain that people who have their appointments after 11 September should get the correct wording on their cards 🤞

Well firstly I'll cut to the chase - after either misinterpreting the info on Brexpats or it just being wrong/ mesleading our cards aren't ready until next Wednesday, lol.

The latest lote is 116 and we are 119 so after queuing for about a hour we were politely asked to return on Wednesday. We were given a number to call to make certain cards are ready and that number is 965125531

We're not too bothered about wasting our time as we know where it is and the queuing protocol there. Massive car park as well but from what I gather there is a market on that car park on a Thursday.

Hopefully just a few more days to wait before we celebrate :)

edit: we got there at around 10am and there was about 15 in the queue, as you look at the entrance gate you queue on the right not left. Ignore those who cluster hopefully in neither queue as they were eventually told by the policeman to get in a queue. By the time we left empty handed at 11 the queue had grown to about 30 or 40 people and was snaking back towards the carpark. Only one person doing the cards and so only 2 in at a time if they are together.

Great feedback, thanks Lancelot 👍

We're not due to collect our TIEs until 16 October - we're Lote 127, so I won't be going any earlier than planned, but I'll definitely be using that phone number to double-check they're available first.

Many thanks again.

Kind regards,

Kim

I went up this morning after taking a friend to apply for his residency - stage 1. at the Ebanisteria site.

Arrived a Little after 11am and there was a huge line ....decided I couldn’t stand for what I would imagine , could be an hour.  I walked away.

I’ll go back Monday first thing. I’m batch 113 so should be ready by all accounts.

Thanks for the feedback Cfell - sounds like it's going to be an early start for me! 🥴  Does the office where we collect the TIEs also open at 9am, do you know?

Many thanks,

Kim

Monday Update :  arrived at the office at 8:10 ! Already 3 people inline. Quite a few by 9am. Policía who came to open the gate failed on masks ! One wasn’t even wearing a mask  , the other keeping his chin warm ! What an example ! 🤦‍♀️

Anyway , there seems to be 2 sides to the barricade they put out. One for appointments one for not.  In any case , I stood on the “recuerdo tarjeta “ side and was taken right in with the 3 ahead. . There are then 2 inside lines - appts or collecting cards. There were 2 people attending inside the collections room. I presented my letter and the chap located my card. This morning it was still saying batch 116 were the latest ready .

Fingerprints are taken again and he asked for my passport.

All good and back out by ten past 9!
oh and, yes, the wording is correct !

Brilliant!  Thanks Cfell63.  Would you mind sharing the wording you have on your card please?  It would be interesting to know whether they've sorted out the problem where they were issuing TIEs with incorrect wording.  Thanks again.

Kind regards,

Kim
