Hi all had our apartment nearly 2 years pay everything thru bank which solicitar set up no issues there. Just received this
Re Suma notice. Start of the voluntary period of payment for the road taxand other fees can anyone tell me is it different from my usual bills ?? Thanks in advance
How do you mean, your normal bills? SUMA is the company that collects municipal taxes on behalf of the local town hall.
Taxes are collected at certain times as shown on this SUMA Calendar and it's informing you the period to pay the taxes is now open. If you have them by direct debit then no action is required.

If you have direct debits set up for IBI and car tax, then you don't need to take any action.
But now that basura is charged separately by Suma, if you haven't set up a direct debit for that, you'll need to do so, or wait for the bill to arrive and pay it manually.

May i ask how much is road tax?

Road tax is not a standard charge and each town hall sets its own amount. It can vary considerably depending on how many roads or how much work they need to do plus it is based on the amount of CO2 emissions and Horse power produced.
For instance, a 1.6 diesel car in Rojales was 34.60 compared with the same type in Torrevieja being 93 euro so a large difference.
My current car, a bit bigger, is 83 euro a year in Rojales but 140 euro a year in Torrevieja.
Others, like Torrevieja, are giving large reductions for hybrid or electric vehicles whereas other towns are not.
