I can personally recommend Alfonso of Gran Alacant Insurances who advertise down the right hand side of this page. If it is to be a holiday home members of the forum seem to prefer to have insurance with a UK company.

we used Iberian insurance based in Villa Martin 

English speaking and covered a little bit more than some others. For instance Subsidence which some insurers don’t cover due to tremors.

I personally can recommend Luko. It's a digital insurance, so even if you are in the UK you can ensure your holliday house easily because everything’s managed digitally. 

Their quote is highly competitive (you can check the exact price that you’ll pay on the website) and it’s not binding, so you can cancel it when you want to.

Another UK company is Tower Gate, I have used for many years as we are also non residents. After a complete ransacking in 2007 and Caixa banks insurance refusing to pay out(fought them for 3 yrs and gave up) we have no faith in any Spanish insurer. We have made 2 claims, 1 for hailstorm damage(about €3k claim) and 1 for link fencing damage of €1800, both claims dealt with speedily and without any stress.. Its not cheap, we pay £360 but its bound by UK laws which are stricter than Spanish law. I, ve  read of people's insurance premiums in the €150/200 range but I, m not looking for cheap I,m looking for excellence.
