Good morning all, im looking at some properties in Florida Golf and wanted to find out aittle bit more regarding the urbanisation, like Community fees, what amenities are within walking distance, is it quiet or not, what average are permanent residents there, what is the urbanisation like as a whole etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated 😀

Many thanks in advance.

Vicki

Hi Vicki

Where is Florida Golf? I don't think it has anything to do with La Florida, though I could be wrong!

Cheers

Steve

Hi

Villamartin gets very busy with holidaymakers in the summer months, but can be very quiet otherwise. It is also quite a hilly area, except for the immediate area around the Plaza. Most amenities are clustered around the busy N332 road, which is 2 or 3 Kms away - but it does depend on where Florida Golf is exactly, can you share a link?

The area is full of retirees, so average age is probably about 60.

For community fees, ask the estate agents first.

Cheers

Steve

Is it in the area of the South American streets. Calle Argentina , Calle Uruguay etc?

If so then yes the area is very hilly , but as Steve so rightly says all of Villamartin is hilly.

Nearest bar I think would be the Madhouse, Google mam says it’s a 15 min walk, but then Mr Google man is young and fit and doesn’t take in to account how steep the area is or how much slower you have to walk when it’s 35C in the shade.

Each community sets its own charge, so again as Steve says ask the estate agent. If they claim they don’t know don’t be fobbed off with a quote of “it’s probably around ???€”. Get them to ask the owner as community fees vary enormously.
For bars/restaurants you have The Plaza, which only really gets busy Summer evenings La Fuente Commercial Centre which is probably nearer, attracts more of an all year round clientele.

It’s personal choice when looking for a location and also bear in mind whether it’s  a holiday home  or a permanent move you’re looking for.

Hi Michelle

I think it’s an urbanisation around Villamartin  Vicki is talking about.
