We just bought a place in la Florida.  Could anyone advise how to get water and  electricity  connected and the best company  to  go  with.

Hi weebobo1949, congratulations on the purchase if your Spanish home.

Assuming it is a Resale  then It is usual for the Solicitor handling the purchase of a property in Spain, to arrange for transfer of Utility contracts from seller to buyer. In doing this, not does it only ensure continuity of supply of Servuces, it also ensures the new owner of the Property does not get landed with any unpaid Utilty bill charges.

Hi LeckyLes, thank you so much for replying. We wouldn't  know  where  to start. It is a resale so should be straightforward.  Lawyer  finalising everything  on Friday.  Didn't  know  she would  deal with it.  Thanks once again.

You are most welcome.

A call to The Lawyers to confirm they are dealing with it should ease your mind.

Once again, Good Luck for the future!
