There was a white van travelling around the urbanisation this afternoon broadcasting a message. Could anyone be so kind to tell what it was if you heard it too?

I was too far away, but either "melons for sale", or the "end is nigh".. V
On another site someone reckoned they were warning people about the high temperature.
