Hello Philip
Mine got cancelled in April for my flights in July and I managed to get my money back. But it wasn't directly from Ryanair....
I paid with debit card Halifax and I saw something on the internet saying you can get it back from debit and credit cards.
I called them around June to see if this was true and they told me to call back when my flight dates had passed. My flight was 8th July and called them on 9th July and they put my money back into the bank. They then claim their money back from Ryanair. Very easily done and depending who you bank with.
They will ask you lots of questions as to weather you have tried to contact Ryanair or messaged them etc. Which I had done.
Hope this helps you.
Sue 😘

Hi Philip,
We had flights with Ryanair on May 29th which were cancelled by them. We finally got our money back returned directly to our account last week.

Same here. Should have been flying to uk this Wednesday. Flights cancelled in March. Still waiting...
I haven't had any flight money back from April and June. I decided to go back to my credit card company and let them sort it.
I just got fed up of their tactics.
I booked another flight due to come out at the end of this month. See what happens!

Ryanair's policy on refunds has little to do with covid. In previous years they twice cancelled our return flights to UK and it took me months to recover my cash. Even if the cancellation is their fault they routinely defy European law by always refusing any compensation - they drag it out for months and rely on the fact that most of the customers will just give up. I no longer use Ryanair.
