Hello
I am coming to La Marina in early January for a couple of weeks to have a look around with retirement in mind,
I am a keen walker and I am intending to use my feet instead of a car ( had enough driving in the UK )
And this brings me to my question,
Can anyone please give me some advice on public transport from Alicante Airport to the La Marina ( Calle Jose Carreras Road area )

Have you considered renting a car at the airport and just using it to come to La Marina and back without using it during your stay? It would be so much easier than public transport because La Marina Urb is not well connected with buses, especially in January. Assuming you have your own insurance (£40/pa if not) you can collect a car for less than £35 for 14 days. And that’s with a decent company, not the ones with the horror stories. I understand your reluctance to drive but it’s a simple straightforward route from the airport.

Easiest way by far is taxi. Costs around 40-50€
Hi Tim I always use costa Blanca transfers , very cheap and you pay when you pick the car up at airport, they meet you and sort all paper work out, google them I would highly recommended them. Thanks Gary. [email protected]

Sorry didn’t read you question probably, beniconnect run Mimi bus service now from the airport, it’s €18 each way there is a information and payment desk in the airport, hope this helps

Hi, there are regular buses from Alicante to La Marina, they stop in the village outside LLage he restaurant. The cost is only a couple of euros. The one going to Cartegena runs every 2 hours but then there are others going to Torrevieja every hour I think. Check in Alicante bus station for times and prices.
