Has anyone purchased the no parking signs that you have both sides of your gate? The

ones you get from the council. I'm having problems getting my car in and out of my garage due to people parking in front of my gate. This is since the council painted white lines down our road. I'm wanting to buy these signs when we are next in Spain. Thank you for any information.

Copied from my post a couple of days ago about the same thing

You require  a "Vado Permanente"   You need to apply at your town hall, taking  photos of your driveway and the entrance with you. If you already have a dropped kerb then you should be OK, otherwise you will have to pay  an increased cost for dropping the kerb. They should then provide you with a Vado Permanente sign and the registration number plus complete any road markings.

Be aware that this only gives you the right to drive across they pavement into your driveway and Vado Permanente means a permanent ford. You will not be allowed to park your car in front of the entrance and it could be towed away if you do so.

The ayuntamiento will advise the initial costs and then the annual fees are normally collected by SUMA.

Hello Lynn, Thank you for getting back to me, I will have to go to the council next time we are here in Spain.

I've had one for years and finally given it up as many people just ignore it and it's a blood pressure raising situation..!

Hello Russ,

I know what you mean. It's all started since the council painted the white lines down our road. My wife is having to check for any traffic so I can get out of my garage.
