Why do you have to send it back to the U.K. for repair ?

Can it not be repaired here?

If it is a Pfaff machine, there is an engineer, whose wife runs a quilting workshop, in Pedreguer. A bit of research will return other makes.

Its a BROTHER INOVA -5 and the only dealer in the whole of Spain is in Valencia.  I sent the machine to them and had it returned with the same problem so have no confidence  in this company at all.  I bought the machine some 9 years ago in Blackburn, England and have contacted them.  They are quite willing to do the repair/service but have no contacts with any courier service. I  have searched the internet for one and the only quote I was able to get was Euros 570 which the pay for both ways would be beyond the price of the now second hand machine.

It took me many hours to learn all the functions and capabilities of this machine which I dearly love and have made some beautiful embroidery designs using it.

I really need a part load removal company or suchlike.  The demensions of the container I have packed it in is 75cm long, 77cm wide, and 50cm high, with an approximate weight of just under 20kg.

Many help for any info I can get and the kind replies I've had so far.

There are sometimes man with a van requests on here, I think if you search the site there are some recommendations, but I have no idea where to look, but often enough mentioned.

Yes I  took the machine (with difficulty as it is a bit heavy for me to lug around) to the shop in Dolores but they had no mechanics capable of sorting out this particular brother machine. There are lots of industrial machine mechanics around Elche  and I have also taken the machine to one of them but they only deal with the very large industrial embroidery machines.  Thanks for the information.  I will start to look in the free sheets and ask around. xx
