A friend has just made me aware that we need a Spanish Will as well as the one in the UK which we are currently in the process of doing. Is this correct and how do we go about it. Thanks

Yes, you need a Spanish Will to make things a lot simpler if the worst happens, the Spanish legal system would be a nightmare without one, your Solicitor that you used when buying should be able to help with drawing it up and taking you to the Notary.

I used Jim’s guide mine went to a notary with what I wanted they put it into legal terms in English & Spanish few minor tweaks.  All done in one morning went fir coffee while they typed it up.  Had an English lady as the translator provided by the Notary.   Very helpful, my Will was slightly complicated cost me €90.  Registered & copy provided completed in a morning.

Thank you Jim the lawyer had quoted €211 for a straightforward Will.
