Hi,

We have had a place here for a year so are still making discoveries.

David’s coach trips seem very popular.

As for eating, there are so many places catering for all tastes and budgets.   Our favourite for Sunday lunch is the Posh Club.   Maya’s bar do a great cafe con leche which comes with orange juice and a cake.

If you like bowls, the sports complex have a very active group.

Hope you have fun exploring the region.

If you like to eat Spanish, try Santa Monica bar, great tapas for 1 euro each. House wine, beers 1 euro, likewise coffee 1 euro.  Best coffee on the urbanisation if you like to actually taste the coffee.  La Vuelta at Formentera has good food and nice location but a bit pricey.  Kumar's indian restaurant in Consum square is very good value for money and good food. J's bar is up and coming, reasonably priced food.  Nan Kin chinese in Guardamar really good food, never had a bad meal there! Plenty of spanish bars/restaurants that serve reasonable menu del dia for the money. Good luck.

I haven’t been to Santa Monica but will certainly give it a try now I’ve read your recommendation!

Totally agree about Kumars, it is really delicious food.  As is Nan Kin in Guardamar.

There's also a Line Dancing Group which is very popular and may introduce you to other people who live here permanently.  II think they are at the Posh Club each Friday afternoon but can't be sure of the times.

Best wishes and good luck.  There is so much to do and join if you want to meet new people.
