The situation in Spain is improving regarding pet ownership. We bought our two dogs over here 4 years ago and could not believe the amount of affection the Spanish people have for them and their own pets. We heard that the Spanish had a bad reputation but from personal experience they are no different from the UK pet owners and as always we concentrate on the minority bad owners instead of the millions of dedicated loving owners here in Spain. In our view a very small minority are bad owners and that is the same as in the UK. We have Spanish freinds here who rescue dogs cats even goats so it's an improving situation all round. I've seen videos of young hunting dogs in the UK shot by the hunt because they were no longer any use. No attempt to rehome. The same happens here with the galgos except the end is more gruesome. The more responsible pet owners we have here in Spain the better. Together we can change the mentality of the minority so I welcome you to Spain and hope you get the required licenses. Hi, did you manage to get sorted registered to breed dogs here in Spain? I’m looking at doing myself and would appreciate any advise with regards what’s required , please let me know and maybe we can then chat via WhatsApp, thanks !
