I have a deuchebank b moment which is I'm la mata
I recently lost my wife who did all the driving as I no longer have a licence due to my ill health I spend more time in the uk now as a result Does anyone know which banks will do a bank switch so I can use much closer I am on la marina phase one if anyone could help I would very much appreciate it thanks
You can switch banks to wherever you want. Which is the closest bank to you? Go there and they will transfer all your direct debits an so forth across from the previous bank. You may need to do one or two of them yourself, for example when we changed banks it was all transferred across seamlessly except for the community fees and I had to contact the administrators with the new account number.
Either that or open an online bank account like Wise. They will pay your direct debits if you have a euro account and you won't have to bother going to a physical bank as it would appear Deutsche Bank is the closet to La Mata anyway.

Look on google maps and search for banks in Urbanizacion La Marina. There are a few but I don't know where phase 1 is but if Santander is close enough for you to get to I believe (please check) that there may be benefits of using a bank which also has a presence in the UK.
The banks with branches on La Marina are
Sabadell on the main strip.
La Caixa at Consum Square next to Twilight bar
Bankinter opposite the doctors.
There is a Santander cash machine on the main strip but the branch closed a while ago.
You might have to visit the branch to open a new account and also visit Deutschebank to close your account. I do not think they do a bank switch service as per UK here in Spain. Lots of people swear by the Wise service but I have no knowledge personally.

Great article..they all are legally obliged to let you switch ...open another account and then work from that
