Frozen bank accounts
Had my santander bank account frozen will not accept my pension payments..anyone had any experience of this problem ?

Are you Resident or non-resident? May have a bearing on the matter although I don´t see how either would be a problem. Best thing is to check with the bank. You are best to go through to Guardamar and see Monsarrat there. She will help you.
The only time I know of this happening is when you lose a partner on a joint account. They freeze it then if you tell them about your loss. This is to make sure there is money there for bill settling etc.

They may have wanted you to prove who you were and possibly had asked you to forward identification. All banks are doing the same checks and will freeze the account if the identification is not delivered. All to do with money laundering.
