Hi,

I wondered if anyone has applied for the Non Lucrative Visa since the UK left the EU.  I would be grateful for any information regarding the process of the application which now has to start from the UK.

Thanks

Ian

Ian,

Hope this helps...

If you ask Google you will see a lot of hits. Checkout HMGOV especially.

Some friends have been through this process, so can ask. It may be more simple than the TIE but similar paperwork. Unsure what the financial levels are now.

Good luck.

Thanks for your reply.  I have seen another thread on the forum after I created this post.  It is very detailed in the steps that someone took to get the visa.  Its a little frightening doing it on my own but It seems fairly straight forward if a little brain numbing with the paperwork required.

I will probably instruct an immigration lawyer to guide me and suck up the fees.

Cheers

Ian

It's satisfying doing it yourself. Remember for the "advisors" it's like taking candy from a child. We didn't have to follow the new arrangements, instead it was the old set-up, but I was initially happy to pay a relocation expert who wanted Eur 700 for my wife and and I. I ended up doing it myself following advice from others. Nothing more satisfying than that and I don't even speak Spanish.

If you are not in a hurry my advice is bide your time and gather information on what to do. Pay others as a last resort and spend the money on something else :)
