I have been visiting La Marina urb since its inception in the mid-80s and that bus stop is one of life's little mysteries. 😀
Over the years i have boarded a bus out of the urb to Alicante, Guardamar (for the Wednesday market I think) and during July and August only, down to La Marina beach.
I suspect that in normal circumstances the latter bus mentioned is the only one still running (in high season).

I don't know whether you are newbies or not but you don't have to feel isolated if you don't have access to a car. A steady walk down to the village (taxi back up?) will give you the option to catch a bus on the main road either north up to Alicante Bus Station where the world becomes your oyster - I can recommend the coastal train trip up to Denia via Benidorm etc or a bus south to Guardamar/Torrevieja/Cartagena.
The bonus is that public transport is cheap in Spain.
Check out this site and download the appropriate app from within it. Enjoy.
