Is there another stop then elsewhere on the urb with buses running in to October ? I know it quite well as have been a few times but have always had a car. 
I find it hard to believe there is no public transport past the end of September!

Here’s latest time table bus definitely runs in October.....

Haha yes it’s the return journey from Guardamar 😊 Glad you know where the bus stop is, at least you can get there easily, the fare is €1.50 each way. Market day is Wednesday…Anne

Thank you so much for your advice . I think I may just get a taxi as my transfer from the airport  and then go to Guadamar one afternoon on the bus , maybe a Friday .

We are there Thursday night until Monday night so will miss the market but I believe the Lidl one is on on Saturdays . Really appreciate your help Anne! Thanks so much ! May even go to Elche too for a wander about. ...

Yes the Saturday market by Lidl is good, not as big as normal but that’s due to Covid restrictions but still worth a visit. You sound to be sorted now and I’m sure you will all have a lovely time.
