Some friendly advice:

Please be very wary of anyone who comes on a forum, or messages, answering a post advertising their own services, as they are not recommended and should not be posting. We strongly recommend that members who need work done go by trusted recommendations and research the company that they are thinking of using carefully before using them.

Also please check that any Tradesman is registered to legally work in Spain, otherwise any guarantee will be worthless. It's always a good idea to check out their website first before thinking of using them.

Hi Lesala2015, did you manage to get your staircase sorted out?  If not try Schaeppi Reinhardt, he did mine a couple of years ago, fantastic job.  His office is in the grey area a couple of doors up from the Chinese shop, and just a few doors away from Santander bank, I finished it off with some carpeting from a carpet shop  in Los Montisinos. Hope you get sorted

Hi Lesala2015, further to my earlier text, regarding boxing in stairwell, it  would be a good idea to check that whoever does it uses wood and not ply board.  A friend of mine had his boxed in but the guy used ply board, looks ok, but the noise it makes when walking on them is almost as bad as the metal staircase itself. Just be aware that wood is expensive in Spain so get a couple of prices first.
