I've not seen Perspex here, and at the sizes you'd require I think the price would put you off.

It's a messy page to work with, but there is a range of size options, and some of the plastic sheet is transparent.
For greater strength you'd be better off with multi-wall polycarb:

The multi wall polycarb was what I was talking about, Brico Elche have both clear and smoked in various thicknesses and they are in the outside yard in the front RH corner.
Cheap they ain't though!
