Be prepared to take out 2nd mortgage, as car hire prices are extortionate in the summer months. There have been many recommendations by other members of the forum, cheapest I have found for a Ford Fiesta size car for 11 days in July is €314 from Magnum, others, predominantly those from Alicante airport, were in excess of €500

Hi Patbernie,

Try Alfi, Spain Hire Cars, on (00 34) 603 149 972. He's based on La Marina, but you can have collection and return at the airport, if you prefer. I know he has a 7-seater (can't remember whether it was a Peugeot or a Citroën) because my friend hired it last week, but his prices are very competitive, so his cars get booked up very quickly.
