There is no photo on the EU certificate either.

You really need a covid passport with a QR code on it as premises require to scan the QR code. You will also need to have some photo ID such as your passport.

The UK doesn't have a covid passport so how will tourists prove who they are?

The U.K. does have a covid passport/pass/certificate.

At the moment the only way tourists can enter Spain is with their covid pass, which is downloadable from the NHS app . The pass can be printed as a pdf, dated after 1st November or can be refreshed on the app on a regular basis. Both produce the QR code which is required not only to enter Spain, but to enter those  bars that require you to show it on entry. You also need to produce photographic ID to prove it is your QR code.

The  barcoded NHS letter will allow you entry into Spain, but not into the bars , as their app only reads QR codes.

So I would be best printing my travel certificate and my covid pass QR code and carry my passport with me.

Yes that would be good and sufficient.

It has always been the law that visitors to Spain are required to carry their passport.

Good advice from Steve  in saying it is the law to have your passport  on you at all times and yes you need your QR code of your covid pass , but you’ve lost me on a travel certificate. What is one of those?

Hi

Since when did you need  a covid passport for-the bars, we came back on the 17/11 after 80  days , and the only requirement was wearing a mask in the shops or entering the bar for the toilet,

Since a couple of days ago....

Premises that hold over 50 people will need to apply the new rules and check vaccination certificates along with a QR code to prove they have had the double vaccination.

We went to Carrefour on Monday and were asked by the Royal cafe for our covid passports before we could go in for a coffee. This changed over the weekend. I can only assume that all bars/cafes are now asking for this now.
