Hi All

Can anyone shed some light on the current situation today 9th July 2020 on the Urb please?

I am due to arrive for a 6 Day break on August 5th and I am just wondering if the area has been out on lockdown again?, Facebook is telling me that the Pubs and Restaurants are now open and things are getting back to some kind of normality?

Any help would be appreciated from Landing in Alicante to travelling to my home and what restrictions will be in place for my stay.

Thanks

Mark Stanton

Apart from mask wearing in closed places and maintaining social distancing, nearly all places re-opened.Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Normal travel to and from airport.

An area called La Marina was put back in lockdown due to a breakout of Covid but it is the other side of the country to La Marina Urbanisation.
You will need to wear a mask whenever social distancing cannot be maintained, so basically everywhere it is busy. A mask is required in all shops, taxis and public transport and some shops also insist on and provide gloves.
Some beaches in the area are marking out for social distancing and depending how busy it gets, numbers may be restricted.
Some community swimming pools have re-opened under strict guidelines and restricted numbers but some have decided to stay closed.
As August is the busiest month when the Spanish flock to the coast, I would expect some queuing for restaurant and bar tables.
Of course everything is subject to change.

Hi....I hope you have a good journey back to Spain.....the only thing you might find a pain is that you have to more or less wear a mask all the time except inside bars and restaurants. A lot of newcomers seem to think they don't have to and get up tight about it but they risk a 100 euro fine if they don't.

We have all lived at peace with each other through the emergency , especially in the big shops where there are a lot of restrictions...but all this is for our safety.  Have a great time in the sun.
