I advised my friend to update her app which was showing expiry 19tj November which meant she had last updated on the 19th October as they are valid for 1 month.
She then reprinted the pdf so it now expires 7th December.

You do just that and request the NHS letter again which contains exactly the same details as the one you already have. I have just done it and it does have the November date but otherwise identical. Keeps us travelling though

Spain travel advice

Hi, I too am confused, entered Spain with NHS certificate in September, now returning to Uk in 2 weeks. Does this update mean we have to download now since 1st November same certificate with same dates as previous but now needed to get back in the UK? We don't use printer so will leave download on our mobiles if that's OK, along with the locator form too.

That is correct. I have just done it myself and the only difference was the date and the fact that they now show the Scottish and Welsh logo at the top instead of just NHS. It is OK on your phone though along with your locator form

I'm not really sure what you do because I'm resident in Spain but have signed up for travel alerts from the government site. I got that alert and it seems like you need to download it again. Well, I would just to be safe.

Thankyou for that, just wasn't sure if it meant for going into Spain or leaving and going into UK.

Hi. I can't seem to see the advice. We are travelling with Brittany Ferries on the 20th of December with our dog, via St Malo France, Can anyone please tell us exactly what we need, as we are also worried about France, even though we are not staying there. We have now heard about a certificate but all we can find is that we ned our covid app. Is there anything else we need enter and do we need anything to comeback to the UK ? Any help very gratefully received
