I we have a Citreon C5 2.7 cc 2009 right hand drive but with Spanish plates. My daughter who lives here is going abroad to work so wants me to have her car as smaller. The car has full service history from local Citreon garage and is black colour . We will have our daughters car from September or around that time . We think about 3500€ .

I don't know if they have cars in your budget range, but Top Car San Miguel are absolutely superb.We bought our Transit Connect from them years ago and always had them to do all the servicing MOT's etc etc. They are owned by a Spanish guy called Javi and he is one of the most honest people I have met. No worries he is in no rush he loves that car haha!!!

Don't forget if you buy a car privately you will still have the transfer costs on top. You also need to be aware of any embargos (outstanding bills, fines etc) related to the car as you would be responsible for them, not the seller. I'm sure Jim's guides will have further info on his somewhere. 

That is particularly good advice and information. Make sure what ever you buy privately that you check if there are any outstanding debts/ fines /SUMA on the car.
