As long as you are not a permanent resident, you can drive your car here up to 6 months. Registering the vehicle requires a COC from the manufacturer, otherwise it doesn´t pay (except for a old RR or similar).
To add to Killjoy´s post, you also need to follow all the rules even in the first 6 months, like hi viz, spare glasses (if worn), warning triangles plus headlights switched for LHD. It also has to be taxed and MOT´d in the UK to cover those 6 months.
We brought our diesel Landrover over because the re-sale price dropped through the floor thanks to pollution issues, our new house is up an unmade track, it is a good workhorse and has brilliant all round vision. Unless you have special reasons to want to keep your RHD car, get a LHD here. Second hand cars are more expensive here and other posters have said it is often not much more expensive to buy new.

It costs 600 GBP to have the car trailered to Spain. To register on Spanish plates costs around 1200 euros (twelve hundred). Its value would be very low - see the ads.....
Best of luck

Thanks for feed back. Have decided more sensible to buy car in Spain.
